The landscape design concept for this tropical resort hotel development in St. Lucia, was premised on the transitional experience of guests moving between their exclusive units, the beach and reception building. Nearly 19 meters separates these elements. Bridges and pedestrian paths are their sole means of transport. The landscape connects bridges to the lush hill, reception building, to the adjacent Cloud Nine development and beach. Lush planting, water falls and contemplative pools interweave the path and stairway system. The landscape design involved extensive grading, the use of native plant and building materials and innovative water design.
