Bloor/Spadina Art Park

Toronto, Ontario

This project is the winning submission of an open design competition, in collaboration with visual artists, Susan Schelle and Mark Gomes for an urban “Art Park” at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue on the boundary of the University of Toronto campus. As the lead project consultant, it was necessary to coordinate all work with the numerous stakeholders, including the municipal authorities, public transit authority, U of T, and the neighbourhood association. The project required careful integration of a new design with existing plant materials and site structures.
