Ferris + Associates has the opportunity to work on a variety of environmentally driven projects. A number of projects using the LEEDS programme developed in the United States as a guideline for sustainable development were built, including the Canadian Chiropractic College, Toronto, Ontario and the Canadian Marine Discovery Centre, Hamilton, Ontario. Ferris + Associates are involved in various projects in the City of Toronto that, due to their proximity to existing ravine edges, resulted in a close working relationship with arborists, wildlife biologists and ecologists to ensure the ravines are protected, enhanced and regenerated after development.
