Ferris + Associates Inc. were part of a team that was commissioned to produce a Langstaff Master Plan, that included Design Guidelines, Streetscape Design, Park Design and Public Presentations,  with the intent that it will create an efficient (pedestrian-oriented and transit-supported), attractive, sustainable, self-contained community utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.  A number of parks and open spaces that collectively function as a “spine” of public parks and linear open spaces were developed with the design intent being that the open space system will transform the role of the urban park into a catalyst for community development and enhancement.
