Ferris + Associates provided the design development and construction drawings this 10 ha site. On one side of the Casino complex, the boldly paved promenade links eight lookout areas carefully located along the escarpment edge protected by custom lit stone columns and railings to look through the vegetation and down to the falls. The pathway also was designed to serve as a fire route, and connection to the funicular, the bus terminal within the casino and the bridge leading to down town Niagara Falls. Central to the promenade is the circular event plaza space with disappearing water feature. At the main port-cochere entrance at Fallsview Avenue, the impressive fountain and cascading water feature was designed to include hundreds of fibre optic starry lights set into the black granite.
