The South Linear Park is a landscaped walkway that has links to Spadina Avenue, Bremner Boulevard, Rees Street, and provides an open space buffer between the Gardiner Expressway and the Harbour View Estates complex of the CityPlace residential development.  The path system allows residents to safely bike or walk in an intensely developed urban area. The challenges that were presented by this project included; grading issues and seamlessly blending with the existing condominium development and public thoroughfare.  Ferris + Associates were able create a simple, yet elegant and functional design, making it an important contribution to Toronto’s green spaces and safe pedestrian linkage.
