Valley Woods Residential Development is a planned, private community comprised of both rental and condominium apartments.  It contains eight towers and 150 town homes, a large central park and many walking trails.  It is spectacularly sited on an escarpment above Brookbanks Park in the City of Toronto. As part of the team, Ferris + Associates worked extensively with the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority to develop and create a sustainable village entailing extensive tree protection and non-encroachment zones, provision of mass planting of native species, the documentation of trees to be removed along with compensation planting and the drafting of a stewardship report to the satisfaction of the Conservation Authority.
