West One, a multi-tower residential complex, is the first phase of development on the Concord Adex lands west of Spadina. The landscape, combined with public art conveys a sense of celebration and inspiration for life in the city. A more formal courtyard with a significant water feature clearly visible from all lobby entrances, fronts a formal perennial garden that is separated from the terraces enclosing this outdoor living room. A large sculpture commissioned by Chilean artist, Francisco Gazitua, centred on the drive court entrance is viewed by two lobbies and signals a connection to the pedestrian access to Spadina Avenue. There is a series of spaces including a large sun-filled lawn with a clear separation between the townhomes and tower entrance providing a flexible programming opportunity for the residents and amenity functions.
